1. About biowxve

biowxve is an AI-powered biomedical research assistant. By accessing or using biowxve at www.biowxve.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Educational and Informational Use Only

biowxve is intended for educational and informational purposes only. All AI-generated content — including answers, summaries, drug information, lab interpretations, and clinical cases — must not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical condition.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use biowxve. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.

4. Accounts and Registration

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering.
• You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately via the contact form below if you suspect unauthorised account access.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

biowxve offers free and paid subscription plans, billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

• Prices are displayed in USD or GBP depending on your location.
• You may cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription. Access continues to the end of the billing period.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

6. Refund Policy

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable once the billing period has begun. However, we handle requests on a case-by-case basis:

• Full refund: If no paid features were used and you request within 48 hours of being charged.
• Partial refund: If some paid features were used and you request within 7 days of being charged, we may issue a proportional refund at our discretion.
• No refund: Requests made after 7 days of the charge date are not eligible.
• Refunds are not issued for partial months after cancellation — access simply continues to the period end.

7. Acceptable Use

• You agree not to: Use biowxve for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
• You agree not to: Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the platform.
• You agree not to: Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the service.
• You agree not to: Share your account credentials with others.
• You agree not to: Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise platform security.
• You agree not to: Use AI-generated content to provide medical advice to others without appropriate professional qualifications.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, branding, and code on biowxve is owned by or licensed to biowxve. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission. AI-generated responses may be used for your personal educational purposes only.

9. Third-Party Services

biowxve uses third-party services including OpenAI (AI responses), Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and data storage), PubMed, and Semantic Scholar (research paper data). Use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

biowxve is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, biowxve shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including reliance on AI-generated content for medical decisions.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these terms. You may request account deletion at any time using the contact form below.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Registered users will be notified of significant changes by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
